The Younger Brothers Large Mochila 121 - Authentic Kogi Goods

Sale price Price $220.00 Regular price Unit price  per

This large mochila is handwoven by Kogi women of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, using natural, undyed fibers and time-honored techniques. Its tight, consistent weave offers durability and structure—ideal for carrying larger everyday items, from groceries and books to personal belongings for travel or long days out.

A sequence of soft yellow lines appears across the front—each one woven by hand, representing the Kogi connection to light, direction, and territory. These subtle markings give the bag quiet character, without overwhelming its clean and earthy aesthetic.

The strap is wide and flat, made for comfort, and the bag is designed to rest naturally against the body whether carried cross-body or over the shoulder.

Each mochila is unique. No two are ever alike. Made over more than a month of careful, meditative weaving, every bag carries the energy and story of the woman who made it.

Proceeds from the sale of this mochila go directly to the Kogi mothers who weave them, while also helping fund cultural and environmental preservation efforts led by the Kogi community in their sacred mountain territory.

More than a bag, this is a piece of living tradition—functional, beautiful, and grounded in the wisdom of an ancient people.
